Recently, the high-speed train developed by China for the Hungary Serbia railway was unveiled at the Zemon Rolling Stock Depot in Belgrade, Serbia. This is another important achievement in the integration of China's railway technology and equipment with the European Union's Railway Interconnection Technical Specification (TSI), marking the first entry of China's high-speed train into Europe and a major breakthrough in China's high-end rail transit equipment going global.

The high-speed trains showcased this time on the Hungary Serbia Railway are organized by China Railway Group and operated by CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd. According to the cooperation consensus reached between the railway departments of China and Serbia, based on the advanced and mature technology platform of the Fuxing China Standard EMU, tailored for the Hungary Serbia Railway, and combined with the local operating environment and line conditions in Serbia, adaptive improvements have been made to meet the cross-border transportation needs of the Hungary Serbia Railway. They will be put into use on the Hungary Serbia Railway by the end of 2025.

The high-speed train of the Hungary Serbia Railway is a power dispersed electric train, with a maximum operating speed of 200 kilometers per hour and a total length of about 103 meters. It is composed of 4 cars, including 1 first-class car and 3 second-class cars, with a total capacity of 250 people. The train is equipped with power batteries and still has autonomous range capability in areas without electricity. The exterior of the car is streamlined, painted in the Serbian national flag colors of "red, blue, and white". The black area on the front of the car features the Serbian national emblem's double headed eagle element, with a blue gradient color band resembling the wings of an eagle unfolding; The red and blue ribbons symbolize the "New Silk Road" and the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road" respectively, reflecting the good vision of China and Serbia to jointly build the "the Belt and Road" with high quality and work together to achieve common development and prosperity; The interior color and exterior design complement each other, and details such as ambient lighting and intelligent seat display fully reflect the modern, intelligent, and humanized design concept of the high-speed train. Wheelchairs, bicycles, and large luggage storage areas are set up inside the high-speed train carriages, equipped with service facilities such as coffee machines and vending machines, striving to meet the diverse needs of passengers.

The Hungarian Serbian Railway, which connects Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, and Budapest, the capital of Hungary, is the flagship project of the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road" between China and Central and Eastern European countries, and is also the first project of the docking of Chinese railway technology and equipment with the EU railway interconnection technical specifications. The total length of the line is 341.7 kilometers, including 183.1 kilometers within Serbia, with a designed speed of 200 kilometers per hour. The Belgrade Novi Sad section was opened for operation on March 19, 2022, and has sent more than 7.8 million passengers over the past two years, providing high-quality transportation services for the Serbian people; The construction of the section from Novi Sad to Subotica to the border between Hungary and Serbia is progressing smoothly, with an overall project progress of over 80%. The Serbian section of the Hungary Serbia railway will be fully operational within this year.
